Hello my name is Cade Smith, I am currently a student at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where I am pursuing a degree in Communication Journalism with a minor in Criminal Justice.
WHAT I'VE DONE
I currently work for the Lamar University campus newspaper the “University Press” where I have worked as a staff writer and currently the sports editor. The University Press is an award-winning student-run newspaper that has won several awards in competitions and journalism organizations. I have written various stories pertaining to news, sports, history and art.
MY PASSION
My future goals are to become a successful writer for a magazine or publication dealing with news, sports or crime. I enjoy every aspect of journalism and even hope to become a very successful writer for the Associated Press one day.
